Essential Eligibility Requirements

Essential Eligibility Requirements

It is a priority of Bound for Glory Camp Directors, Board, and staff to create a safe and enjoyable environment for participating campers. In doing so, we must recognize the limitation of our facility, program, and staff. Bound for Glory Camp is not a therapeutic program and may not be an appropriate choice for youth dealing with behavioral, mental, motivational, or rehabilitation difficulties. Our current staff is not trained or qualified to provide services for such needs. We are not able to provide attendants (one-on-one staff members) to support individual campers. All campers need to be able to have successful experience with our ration of one adult per every four campers. As each child’s ability to participate is unique, decisions to accept a participant are made on an individual basis. As such, we request parents to contact the director with any questions or concerns they have about their child’s successful participation.

We have identified a list of Essential Eligibility Criteria (skills required to be successful participants) at Bound for Glory Camp. The goals of this list are (1) to give parents the information needed to make an accurate decision as to whether their child’s abilities will fit with our program (2) open communication between parents and staff (3) prepare a safe and enjoyable environment for all campers.
